We are actively looking for a dedicated, skilled, and experienced Product Lifecycle Data Engineer to join our dynamic and exciting team of experts. The preferred location for this position is Frauenfeld, in Switzerland, but other locations can also be considered.


What will you be doing? 

 

As the Product Lifecycle Data Engineer, you will be a team-oriented self-starter with a profound service mind-set. A structured way of working and your excellent analytical skills are an absolute pre-requisite for this role. In this supporting role, close cooperation with various stakeholders and eagerness to make a difference are required to be successful.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

  • Creating new materials with all required material master data and maintain existing material master data.
  • Ensure implementation of Design Messages from material master data point of view.
  • Ensure availability of code resolution for new built engines by obtaining as built/maintained information from various stakeholders (e.g. licensees, customers, etc) and maintaining code resolution according to changes made during product life cycle (input from workflow handling, service bulletins, service products, etc)
  • Develop and improve effective process to ensure code resolution as well to track history.
  • Optimize continuously the portfolio structure.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or its equivalent.
  • Independent drive and strong technical understanding.
  • A profound understanding of SAP MM/SD modules is a plus. Extra modules? Even better
  • Solid experience in data handling and analytics.
  • Experience in the Marine industry is a plus.
  • Exemplary communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks seamlessly.
  • A solution-orientated mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in the English (verbal and written).
  • Good knowledge of German language. 
  • IT proficient, particularly within Microsoft Office Suite.
