The Role
This venture presents an exciting, unprecedented opportunity – the lead of a new team within our company. As the IC Design Manager, you’ll oversee a team of digital design engineers, with a specific focus on developing compute subsystems for a large variety of different products. Your responsibilities will span from concept to the validation of the developed solutions, which includes tasks such as design specification, architectural development, RTL design, modeling, verification. You will have a central role within the organization, and you have the opportunity to interact with many product definers and integration teams.

Leadership: Manage and lead a team of digital IC design and verification engineersTechnical guidance: Consult the team in technical areas, like the selection of adequate microarchitectures and verification approachesCoordination: Coordinate activities between the team and product integration teams and software/firmware teamsMentoring: Coach younger team members to become strong contributorsQuality assurance: Ensure high-quality outcomes from the teamProcess improvement: Contribute to design methodology and design flow improvementsWhat You’ll Need Minimum BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical fieldAt least 5 years of engineering leadership with direct reportsAn extensive technical background within in the development of semiconductor products or sub-components (IPs)Experience with embedded CPUs, from a hardware and software/firmware perspectiveStrong communication and strategic skillsEligibility to work in Switzerland What Else You May Bring Experience in some of the following areas is a plus:Experience in the design of CPU/MCU (sub)systems, SystemRDL or IP-XACTDevelopment of signal processing components or processing systemsProgramming in Python for automation and C/C++ for embedded softwareDefinition of design intends (timing, power), logic synthesis, STA, quality checkers (LINT, CDC, …)Experience in FPGA prototypingAwareness in mixed-signal design and verification, DFT Our commitment to youAs part of the onsemi team, you will have an opportunity to transform your tomorrow and operate in a diverse, inclusive, and socially responsible environment.
