(R&D Senior-) Product Cost Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Senior Product Cost Engineer (all genders)  with expertise in Medium Voltage Drives or similar mechanical- Power-electronic areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product cost reduction processes and related implementation, along with extensive experience in product cost management.
He/she will play a pivotal role in driving cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with Project managers, R&D Project experts and supply chain management.

Your responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cost reduction strategies for medium voltage drives and related products
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify key cost drivers and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to drive cost reduction initiatives
  • Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize product design and specifications
  • Work closely with Supply chain management and suppliers
  • Develop and maintain robust product cost models and tracking systems to monitor cost performance 
    Your profile:
    • Bachelor's or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
    • Several years of experience in R&D and product development roles, with a focus on medium voltage drives or similar mechanical- Power-electronic areas
    • Proven track record in product cost reduction processes, Dfx, DtV, DFM, DFA, implementation
    • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in medium voltage drives or related fields
    • Fluent in Englisch. German and Polish are welcome
