Credit Advisory Specialist provides credit related advice for the complex financing needs of our customers and support to relationship managers and the Senior Credit Specialist by identifying, structuring, negotiating, underwriting new credit opportunities.
This includes tasks such as preparing marketing pitches, negotiation of term sheets with clients, drafting credit applications, working with lawyers to perfect securities as well as working on specific credit project as required from time to time.

What you will do:
Impact on the Business
- Ensure an optimal delivery of our bespoke credit products and capabilities to key customers, in a direct client facing capacity or in co-ordination with RMs and senior credit specialists, and/or
- Train and advise RMs on credit products and/or in the area of identifying credit opportunities and marketing credit products and solutions to customers
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Risk assessment and credit recommendation
- Monitoring of the lending guidelines including the implementation. of any changes in GPB Credit risk appetite
- Balanced objectives of client and risk management
- Minimise credit losses
Major Challenges
- Delivery of tailor made credit solutions
- Excellent knowledge of credit products to advice RMs and sophisticated clients
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the RM teams, the other PB Credit / Risk functions and colleagues in GSG, CMB and GBM
- Ability to quickly assess and understand changes in client preferences, client appetite, as well as industry and competitor dynamics vis-à-vis credit products and solutions
- Implement credit product marketing strategies and provide sound financial and risk management advice
You should apply if you have:
- Proven experience in a similar role or in a client facing and lending oriented position in a top tier bank
- Master degree preferred
- Highly trained in credit products
- Analytical skills and good structuring capacity
- Solution and business oriented within the bank’s wider credit appetite
- Team player able to integrate the credit advisory team quickly
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure in a performance driven environment
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in French and in English. Exceptional presentation skills
- Due to immigration restrictions in Switzerland we will only be able to consider applications from Swiss or EU citizens or from candidates holding a valid Swiss work permit
