The business analyst builds, develops and works on a change portfolio for the Area “Securities Operations” in collaboration with the area head and the section heads. One main responsibility is to analyse existing processes and identify improvement opportunities. The business analyst manages the full life cycle (definition of requirements, support of developers, plan and execute testing, accompany go-live and update documentation) of smaller and larger projects or improvement measures. The role initially focuses on management activities in the change-the-bank environment but also includes a run-the-bank component. Alongside this classic ‘project field’, an understanding of data management/governance, but also the practical realisation (query data via SQL or another language, preparing and building visualisations in Tableau) completes the range of tasks. IHRE AUFGABEN

  • Identifying and representing stakeholder needs and acting as interface to run-the-bank as well as change-the-bank stakeholders

  • Building and managing key relationships i.e., working closely together with Project and Program Leads on Operations requirements involved with a core banking system transformation

  • Creating and representing the vision and roadmap for Securities Operations aligned to the function’s strategy and mission

  • Communicating backlog items ensuring they are transparent and understood

  • Assessing development and progression to remain in compliance with requirements

YOUR PROFILE

  • Apprenticeship in Banking with/or higher education

  • Several years of experience in Banking, preferably in Corporate Actions processing

  • Proven track record in the role of business analyst

  • Affinity for process analysis and change management

  • Basic skills in database analytics

  • Experience in project controlling and project management

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and taking a hands-on approach

  • Highly committed and motivated

  • Proficiency in English and German (oral and written) is a must
