ELCA is a leading IT services provider in Switzerland, delivering innovative solutions to a diverse range of clients. We are currently seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solution Architect to join our team in either our Lausanne or Geneva office. As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will work closely with our clients and software engineering teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS.

Your role
  • Work with clients and internal teams to develop and implement innovative cloud solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and others.
  • Lead teams through the end-to-end project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, software architecture, implementation, and delivery.
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to clients and create strategic roadmaps for cloud migration.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including tender responses and proof-of-concept work.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends and make recommendations for adoption.
  • Support group-wide thought leadership initiatives to advance our architectural practice and sustain our technical excellence.

Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale software solutions, including at least 2 years of experience with AWS.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services and architectures, including serverless, messaging, storage, and security.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices and tooling for CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, agile methods, automated testing, code quality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Fluent in French or German, and in English.
  • AWS certification(s) such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is a plus.
