Job summary:

As the senior Finance Business Partner for South Pole advisory business, you will serve as the bridge between the finance department and the advisory global and regional leadership teams. You will provide strategic financial guidance and support to enable effective decision-making, drive business performance, and achieve financial objectives. You will build strong relationships across the advisory leadership team and regional accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financials. 

Main tasks & responsibilities:

· Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and trend identification. 

· Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of the business unit, developing KPIS and providing insights and recommendations to optimize profitability and operational efficiency. 

· Strategic Planning: Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop strategic plans and initiatives aligned with overall company goals. 

· Operational Controls: Support the business operations team to develop and implement an effective controls framework to safeguard profitability. 

· Commercial Finance: Review contracts to ensure that they maximise profitability and minimise risk for the business. 

· Decision Support: Provide financial insights and analysis to assist in decision-making processes, such utilisation, cost optimisation, and resource allocation. 

· Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead the development of accurate financial forecasts and budgets, working closely with business leaders to align financial plans with strategic objectives. 

· Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements with both the operational and accounting teams to ensure accuracy of data and simplification of process.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Qualified Accountant ACA / CIMA. 

Proven experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, and business partnering roles. 

Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements particularly IFRS15. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. 

Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making. 

Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools. 

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
