Development of embedded software for medical devices and electrical medical devices (IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
Creation of Software Architecture
Embedded software development (microcontroller ESP32, I2C, SPI, GPIO, C/C++/C#, BLE, WIFI)
Development and documentation of software according to IEC 62304
Software Verification and Validation
Unit and Modul Testing
Implementing and managing Cybersecurity for medical devices
Managing (sub-) projects according to the internal standards
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with medical device hardware components.
Develop and execute test plans to validate embedded software, ensuring compliance with medical device standards.
Ensure the safety and security of software, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as IEC 62304.
Implementing and managing Cybersecurity for medical devices (ISO 80001, ISO 81001, AAMI TIR57, MDCG and FDA guidance documents)
Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain device functionality and performance.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and risk assessments to ensure high-quality software development.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or proven experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, preferably within the Med Tech or medical device industry.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++, with experience in embedded systems development.
Excellent communication (German and English) and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with debugging tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and hardware-software integration.
