We are seeking a QC Microbiology Technical Specialist (m/f/d) to serve as a scientific subject matter expert and departmental representative for microbiological quality control activities at a biotechnology/production site in Visp, Switzerland. This role involves internal and external technical representation, scientific oversight of project-specific microbiology analyses, and coordination of key QC deliverables across cross-functional teams. The position is primarily on-site, with limited remote flexibility.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a microbiology, QC, or related laboratory environment
Solid scientific understanding of microbiological analyses and their application in regulated environments
Demonstrated experience coordinating work packages or project activities across interdisciplinary teams
Ability to work mainly on-site, with a maximum of 2 remote days permitted
Act as the technical representative of the QC Microbiology department in internal discussions, customer meetings, audits, visits, and inspections related to assigned projects
Serve as the scientific subject matter expert (SME) for project-specific microbiological analyses and related QC activities
Monitor, evaluate, and coordinate the implementation of scientific or procedural improvements within QC Microbiology
Coordinate and ensure timely completion of assigned project work packages across various business units
Provide scientific guidance to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements
