Wir suchen eine:n Chef de Partie Breakfast für unser Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich Team

Das Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zürich befindet sich im Herzen der Altstadt, innerhalb des Hauptgeschäftszentrums, in der Nähe der Freizeitattraktionen der Stadt und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Ufer des Zürichsees entfernt. Das Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zürich wird Ende 2023 eröffnet und verfügt über 80 Gästezimmer und Suiten sowie drei gastronomische Einrichtungen, darunter ein ganztägig geöffnetes Restaurant, ein Spezialitätenrestaurant und eine Lobby Lounge. Das Hotel ist ein idealer Ort für Meetings und Versammlungen, und die Renovierung wird die Konferenz- und Veranstaltungseinrichtungen verbessern, einschließlich eines großen historischen Ballsaals.

Als Chef:in de Partie Breakfast werden Sie verantwortlich für folgende Aufgaben sein: 

  • Leitung des Frühstücks-Postens in der Küche sowie die Sicherstellung eines reibungslosen Arbeitsablaufs unter Einhaltung der Qualitäts- und Hygienestandards
  • Gewährleistung einer einwandfreien Zubereitung, Qualität und ansprechenden Präsentation unserer Speisen entsprechend unserer hohen Qualitätsansprüche
  • Beachtung, dass Lebensmittelverluste auf ein Minimum beschränkt bleiben
  • Kreative Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung neuer Foodkonzepte
  • Warenanforderung in Abstimmung mit dem Vorgesetzen sowie die Kontrolle des täglichen Wareneingangs
  • Verantwortlich für die tägliche Kontrolle der Hygienevorschriften und der Sauberkeit im Rahmen der HACCP-Richtlinien

Als Chef:in de Partie Breakfast erwarten wir von Ihnen:  

  • Eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Koch/Köchin. 2-3 Berufserfahrungen in einer ähnlichen Funktion – bevorzugt in der gehobenen Hotellerie/Gastronomie
  • Flexibilität und Belastbarkeit – zu Ihrer Position gehören Wochenend- und Feiertagsschichten
  • Auge für Details und Kreativität – um Ihre kulinarische Handschrift mit einzubringen
  • Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Teamfähigkeit und Organisatorische Fähigkeiten
  • Führungsstark- um einen eigenen Posten zu leiten
  • Hohes Engagement sowie eine strukturierte, ergebnisorientierte und selbstständige Arbeitsweise
  • Hohes Qualitätsbewusstsein
  • Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse. Weitere Fremdsprachenkenntnisse sind von Vorteil

We are looking for a Chef de Partie Breakfast to join the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich team.

 

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the old town, within the main business centre, close to the city's leisure attractions and a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. Set to open end of 2023, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich will feature 80 guestrooms and suites and three dining outlets, comprising an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The property is ideally placed for meetings and gatherings, and the renovation will enhance conference and event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

 

As a Chef de Partie Breakfast, you will be responsible for the following duties:  

  • Managing the breakfast station in the kitchen and ensuring a smooth workflow in compliance with quality and hygiene standards
  • Ensuring impeccable preparation, quality and attractive presentation of our cuisine in line with our high-quality standards
  • Ensuring that food waste is kept to a minimum
  • Creative support in the development of new food concepts
  • Food orders in coordination with the supervisor as well as controlling the daily merchandise receiving
  • Responsible for the daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness according to HACCP guidelines

As a Chef de Partie Breakfast, we expect from you:  

  • A completed apprenticeship as a cook. 2-3 years of work experience in a similar function - preferably in the upscale hotel/catering industry.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
  • Eye for detail and creativity - to bring your culinary signature to the table
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills
  • Strong leadership skills - to manage your own station
  • High level of commitment as well as a structured, result-oriented and independent work style
  • High quality awareness
  • Good German and English skills.
